Opening Times for the School Holidays

  • Breakfast Club Monday to Friday 10AM- 12PM
  • Youth Club Monday to Friday 12PM- 6PM

There's lots of Fun to be had At the Club inside and Outside from Bike rides to Badminton - Football to Cricket - Music Lessons to Singing - Netball - Pool - Darts - Xbox - PS3 - Internet games and loads more!

Plus there's plenty to eat and drink in our all new Snack Shop                                  

If you are a young person in Merthyr or beyond who's looking for something to do (or you know a young person who is) have a look around the site and see what we have to offer, and believe me, there's something for everyone!

Access to the internet, arts and crafts equiptment to help with any School projects you may have.


FREE Daily Pick up Service

Pick up areas Dowlais, Pant, Penydarren, Gurnos, Galon Uchaf, Fochriw, Swansea Road, Troedyrhiw, Aberfan, Merthyr Vale and Twyn Carmel


Fresh Fruit given out daily

Fresh fruit cut up and given out daily to the young people here at The Dowlais Engine House

Ramsey Island Boat Trip & St Faggons

Another fun filled trip, the young people got to explore Ramsey Island on a Boat Trip and learn some fun facts along the way. We try and make all our trips both fun and educational.

Joshua Williams Newport County Football Scholarship

Joshua started playing football for Pant Boys and Girls Club at the age of 5 where he attended the Dowlais Community Centre weekly for training sessions. Training was then moved to the Engine House where he has played ever since from such a young age.
